From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader.
About Us
TurnTime Technologies AB is a leading aviation technology company focused on optimizing ground handling operations through smart, ergonomic, and innovative solutions.
Part of being innovative is surrounding yourself with innovative people. That is why our operations are based in the university city of Lund in southern Sweden. Close to CPH airport connecting the world and fresh new thinking from the top ranked university of Sweden.
Our flagship systems — the Sliding Carpet and RTT — have been transforming the way aircraft are loaded and unloaded worldwide since 1986. And they still are.
With a commitment to technical innovation and first-class personal dedication, we work closely with global partners to make aviation more profitable, safer, and more sustainable — one turnaround at a time.

From humble beginnings to industry leader — the story continues, built on a foundation of trust.
Cutting emissions, caring for people.
Turning time into sustainability.
Sustainability at Turntime
At Turntime, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword — it’s the heart of what we do. Our innovative solutions reduce aircraft turnaround times, which means planes spend less time idling on the ground. This directly cuts unnecessary fuel consumption from auxiliary power units (APUs) and engine idling, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping protect our planet.
We also design for longevity and circularity. When components eventually need attention, our in-house repair and refurbishment program returns parts to serviceable condition using certified processes and quality-assured spares. By extending component lifecycles, prioritizing repair over replacement, and minimizing waste, we reduce environmental impact and total cost of ownership—without compromising reliability or performance.
But sustainability isn’t only about climate — it’s also about people. By improving the working conditions for workers, reducing physical strain, and creating safer, healthier workplaces, we actively support social sustainability too. Because a truly sustainable future is one where both the environment and the people working within it thrive.
Why Faster Turnarounds Matter for the Environment
When an airplane is on the ground, many times it still burns fuel to power systems and keep comfortable conditions on board — but without moving forward. This fuel burn from the APU is prohibited in many parts of the world. But as things are constantly unpredictable and conditions change, the reality as that the APUs of an aircraft are still very much running during turnarounds all around the world. This is inefficient and creates avoidable emissions.
By shortening turnaround time, our products minimize this idle fuel use, even if it is just once, it is important.
Caring for people and meeting global goals
Our commitment extends beyond the environment. Turntime’s solutions significantly reduce the physical strain and workload on cargo and ground handling teams, creating safer and healthier workplaces. This aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially:

Good Health and Well-Being — Promoting safer work environments. Our products reduces physical strain on cargo workers by 70%.

Decent Work and Economic Growth — Enabling fair, efficient, and modern labor practices that support workforce well-being.

Responsible Consumption and Production — Minimizing waste and improving resource efficiency throughout operations.

Climate Action — Reducing emissions to support more sustainable aviation and combat climate change.
At Turntime, we believe that true sustainability combines environmental responsibility with social care. By improving efficiency and safety together, we are proud to contribute to a healthier planet and better lives for those who keep the aviation industry moving.
