The first Boeing aircraft equipped with the Tie-Down version of the Sliding Carpet has been delivered to Skymark Airlines and entered operations. The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, marks another milestone in TurnTime Technologies’ long-standing presence in the Boeing Option Catalogue for 737 Series and Sliding Carpet presence in Asia.
The configuration allows a single loader to move and secure items in need of strapping with ease. The Sliding Carpet has the same weight capacity as the aircraft cargo floor, with no additional restriction. Cargo is positioned using the Sliding Carpet and then secured with traditional tie-down straps in tie-down points integrated in the panels below the carpet.
The Tie-Down version has proven itself in service on Airbus aircraft, including Aegean’s A320 family, but is now introduced on Boeing 737 Series for the first time in response to market demand.

The Tie-Down version of the Sliding Carpet is also available for the Boeing 737 MAX 7, MAX 9 and MAX 10, with several customers having ordered the system for their upcoming MAX 10 aircraft.
